Soundwaves began in Kinsale, right by the sea, where the choir found its voice. Since then, we have grown into a vibrant group of women who come together each week to sing, connect and perform. From September 2026, we were delighted to grow our community by opening our second (and then third!!) Sound Waves choirs in Ballincollig, Dee’s hometown. All choirs follow the same programme, learn the same arrangements, and share the same calendar of events. The three groups will also come together for workshops, social events and major performances, creating one larger Sound Waves community. Whether you’re in Kinsale or Ballincollig, you'll experience the same supportive atmosphere, uplifting music and sense of belonging.

As of September 2026, all of our choirs are now full, and we can no longer accept new members. We can’t believe the response, and we are trying to find new venues to bring Sound Waves to more wonderful women in the Cork area over the next few months.
